Communication with the bus coupler takes place via an asynchronous serial RS485 connection. The module is particularly suitable for detecting the signals of 2-wire transmitters with 4…20 mA, 3-wire transmitters with 0…10 V and potentiometric sensors.
A transducer supply of 10 or 24 V with a current of 10 mA or a maximum of 25 mA is available for each channel.
The signal state of the inputs is indicated via status LEDs. The areas supply voltage, fieldbus, logic and inputs are galvanically isolated from each other. In the event of an error, the modules operate with previously defined error values to ensure safe process control (fail safe).
